As far as days on the calendar go, this one is my favourite.
I'm an adult now, at least according to the year and the fact that I'm starting to see some wrinkles showing up, so the holiday looks a little differently than it used to when I was a kid, but a lot is still the same.
I want to wish you the same. I want to wish you the warm fuzzies, those moments full of sweet, even sad smiles. I want to wish you hearty belly-laughs, the kind that bring tears to your eyes. I want to wish you cups of good cheer with family and friends, and so much tasty food that you'll swear you won't eat for a week. (But you will, because leftovers!)
I want to wish you the giggles of children, the stories of the elderly, and songs that everyone sings along to. I want to wish you pajamas and slipper-clad feet around the tree, and pictures of the table, and the pets tearing through the wrapping paper. I want to wish you traditions, old and new.
