A few months ago a friend asked me if I listened to a lot of podcasts; I didn't. Then she told me that it didn't matter; there was a podcast I HAD to listen to.
It was called Overdue, and I had to listen to it. My life would be incomplete until I did.
Well, maybe she didn't say it quite that way, but you get the idea.
The premise is that the podcast is "about the books you've been meaning to read", and it is hosted by Andrew and Craig, two young men who take turns reading books they - and we - "should've read by now."
Some of the stories are classic novels, others are more recent. Almost all of them are family friendly, but for their 50th, 100th, and 150th episodes, they read the Fifty Shades Trilogy, and, while absolutely hilarious, those ones are also definitely not family-friendly.
The podcast was started in 2013; if you've never listened to it before, their website is quite comprehensive and offers links to their social media, their most recent episode (which airs on Mondays) and a list of their personal favourites (click on the "New Listener?" tab).

I recommend this podcast a lot. It is funny, without trying too hard, informative, and critical. Just two guys talking about books. In fact, I've recommended it to students to help study or review after finishing particular books.
And it's made me want to listen to more podcasts.
What's your favourite podcast? Any book-related ones to recommend?
