HAPPY SUMMER!

Well, happy official first day of summer. Summer for me doesn't start for another eight days....
Not that I'm counting.
Yes, I know it's Thursday, and my reviews and blog posts have been MIA for a few weeks. But rest assured, there is a very simple, clear explanation:
I'm a teacher. And it's June.
Every night the past couple weeks has been consumed by marking and marking and marking. And just trying to stay on top of life, trying to take a few hours here and there (and even a weekend!) for my husband and friends and self.
It's crazy, but the end is in sight.
Summer, glorious summer.
With camping and swimming and travel.
And reading.
And writing.
And actually doing laundry. And tidying the house. And pulling weeds. And all those appointments I hold off on "until I have time". Because heaven knows that's not happening right now.
But until summer is actually here, I'm still marking, and trying to figure out life for work for next fall.
So no review today, and my apologies.
I DO, however, have some news!
I am looking for a character name - or rather, a character's kitten's name. If you want to name a kitten in my new book, please contact me with your suggestion.

And tonight I am forgoing the marking in order to go to the Lethbridge Library's official launch of the 2018 Indie Collection, to which The Girl with the Empty Suitcase has been accepted. So if you're in the Lethbridge area, come stop by and say hi!
If you ever want to see what I'm up to, check out my events page. I have a few more things coming up in the next few weeks, which I'm super excited about. I'll share more information shortly.
You know, after the marking.
Want to suggest a kitten name? You can do so here. And don't forget to subscribe to my monthly newsletter while you're there!
What's your favourite thing about summer? I do most of my writing and reading in those two months. I can already taste the popsicles!
