I'm a proud Canadian. I really am; I love to travel, but I think Canada is probably the best country in the world, and I am so fortunate I get to call it home.
Today Canada turns 152.
But really, this post is reminding you about some excellent "Canada Day" reads. (And I'm also interspersing it with Arrogant Worms videos!)
I did a "Recommended Reads" list in 2017. But to refresh your memory, I suggested:
Anne of Green Gables
Alias Grace
And the Birds Rained Down
Emily of New Moon
Stories from the Vinyl Cafe
The Hockey Sweater
Late Nights on Air
The Best Laid Plans
Truth and Bright Water
Owls in the Family
Though really, there are a whole lot more I could add to that list!
Is Canada perfect? Of course not. But we're pretty damn awesome. And I think it's great to recognize our awesomeness today. So, however you're choosing to do that, have fun, and be safe.
So, happy Canada Day! Everyone! May you be outside, with friends and family, enjoying some of the awesomeness that is our country!
Happy Canada Day!
